Kids eat whole fried fish with pea shoots and ginger.

Whole Fried Fish with Pea Shoots and Ginger: Find it on the menu at Lil' Deb's Oasis in Hudson.

“This was my first whole fish ever. It didn’t have too much of a fish taste, but then there was the sauce … I could taste the ginger. The pea shoots tasted green and slightly spicy. I didn’t know if I really wanted to eat the fish’s eyeball. The skin was pretty crispy and the tail was crunchy like a chip. I didn’t want to eat the cheek either, but it turned out to be pretty good—soft and fleshy on the inside—the best part of the fish!”
